Under Floor Insulation - Training for Installers
This training programme has been developed with ECO4 compliance in mind!
From experience, we are aware that many installers have struggled to comply with stringent Quality Assurance requirements and demonstrating compliance with PAS2030:2019 and PAS2035:2019 over ECO3.
Floor Insulation or Under Floor Insulation is a highly disruptive measure with installers having to create access hatches or lift floorboards to gain access to the sub-floor void. Post-installation, once the floor is replaced and all services have been sealed, and the property handed-over to the Occupiers, Installers typically submit measures to Funding partners who undertake Independent, Technical Monitoring at a later date, usually anywhere from a month to eighteen months later.
As the Floor Insulation cannot be physically inspected as the floor has been replaced, post-installation, measures typically tend to fail monitoring in 100% of cases, until the failure can be over-turned through Installers providing compliant, installation evidence across all stages of the installation.
Our experienced trainers are also Technical Monitoring Agents who have in-depth experience with measure installation and procedures for various system manufactures/designers including Knuaf and SWIP and can assist your teams to ensure that all works are compliant and evidences collected demonstrate compliance with the Ofgem question set.
Our consultants are also Trustmark-Approved Retrofit Assessors and Coordinators so you can rest assured that they have the required level of competence, having reviewed in excess of 2500 Floor Insulation measures over the last 12 months.
Sessions can be booked to take place on-site during a live installation, at your workplace or at one of our local centres and include a recap on Ventilation in line with the PAS Standard and Building Regulations. The session includes useful information on background ventilation or trickle vents, under-floor air bricks and appropriate calculations.
